Damola Akinyemi, Owner & Instructor

Damola Akinyemi is a visionary, entrepreneur, and fitness expert. His travels through 4 continents and almost 40 countries makes his "life an adventure" as he describes. From playing semi-professional basketball in Spain to modeling in Dubai and Scotland, his life has been shaped by fitness in some way or another.

Arriving in NY in 2006 with a hunger and passion to pursue fitness, opening his Studio Ayo in 2008 seemed in retrospect the natural thing to do.

The next phase of Ayo Fitness is fine tuning our processes to launch our brand worldwide. At Ayo Fitness you are geared towards a variety of training modalities to keep getting great results. In our boot camps for example, we use a mix of crossfit, Zumba fitness, sports and weightlifting to get incredible results. "Where else can you get those combinations?" asks Damola, who is a firm believer that cross training is the key and these different models actually complement each other. This variety and energy is what makes Ayo Fitness so unique.


Ramon Jaison, Instructor

A 10 year resident of Orange County. Originally from Brooklyn, NY. Ramon was a UPS driver in New York City for 10 years before fulfilling his passion as a fitness professional. Now, Ramon is picking up weights and delivering results instead of packages! Ramon teaches Tone with Ramon, Interval Training and Zumba.

Curin Wilkerson, CFW Instructor

Curin has 15 years of fitness training.  As Ayo Fitness' CFW coach, Curin runs a fun but challenging comprehensive program that is guaranteed to bring about results and show you just how strong you are physically and mentally. Curin is a Certified IFBB Men's Physique Pro as is also NFTA (National Fitness Trainers Association) Certified. Addiitonally Curin is a Wilhelmina Fitness Model. He has modeled for various outlets including bur not limited to Men's Health, Men's Fitness, Sports Illustrated, Under Armour, Nike, JCPenney and Target. Curin played collegiate football for the Marist Red Foxes and baseball for the Tennessee Weslyan Bulldogs.

 

Karen Ruoti, Yoga Instructor

Karen's passion for fitness started at an early age with her family's gym in her childhood home. This lead to a lifelong pursuit of health and wellness not only for the physical but spiritual as well. She has been a yoga practitioner for over fifteen years. She has reconciled with her deep rooted Christian faith.    

 

Larry Rivera, Cycling Instructor

Larry Rivera has been in the fitness industry for 11 years. He has been a certified cycler since 2006. Before indoor cycling he participated in many bike tours of all distances and 4 biathalons. Cycling and resistance training are some of his tools of fitness. He believes that a healthy mind and body brings about a healthy spirit.


Brian Ruperti, Instructor

Brian joined the Ayo Fitness family in August of 2016. He is a certified fitness trainer and class instructor through the International Sports Sciences Association. His philosophy is that fitness adds to your life, but doesn't consume it. And he believes when one masters his philosophy that they will then reap the true benefits which include better looks, more confidence, more energy, better relationships, and more career results. Brian's training focuses on strength and conditioning with an emphasis on functional mobility. Whether you are looking to achieve fat loss, or build lean muscle, your personal goal and preferences will be integrated into your training when working with Brian. Feel free for a demonstration of his style by attending one of his high-intensity circuit classes that suits people of all fitness levels or by scheduling a short meeting with him to ask him what he can do for you! Brian always reminds people who are considering hiring a trainer that, "You wouldn't drive across the country without a good GPS, don't embark on a serious fitness journey without a good trainer."

Carine Rooney, Instructor

Carine Rooney is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in Prenatal and Postnatal Fitness. Carine got into fitness after having her second baby. She started only doing Zumba and personal training with a trainer. After developing enough strength, she moved on to Bootcamp and eventually Crossfit. Once developing enough confidence she finally decided to hit the weight room and that is where she spends much of her time now. Her inspiration for being fit are her two little girls who she wants to give an example of health. Carine's goal for her clients is to help them live happy,healthy and balances lives through fitness and beyond.
